Summary: The paddle does not fit the truck recepecle. I may replace the components on the truck with ones that fit the paddle, if I can find them.

Magne Charger- Gen II GM?

Magne Charger

The Magne Charger, aka Paddle Charger, is an external charge unit, many of which are installed at charge stations in California. The logic is as follows: A paddle is inserted into an onboard charge receiptical. The charger electronics, onboard the EV, tells the charger what voltage it wants.

In the second image, the charge profile is established. Note that the voltage is changed during the charge process. I have not clarified the meaning of some variables. If any one has any information, please come forward.

At this point in time, I have the programming software, but have not run the software. I need more information about the onboard electronics. The following picture shows 3 electronic boxes, that control the charge process. The paddle receptacle is on the left. It has 2 cooling fans. On the right, is a finned aluminum box, that has incoming power from the paddle, and DC power going to the rear battery box. This box is labeled "Filter Current Sense". The white box in the middle is labeled "Power Control". There is a DB9 connector, with a stick pointing to it, that I think is the programming port.

The picture on the left is the E-10 charge components. I do not have a charger for these components. The image on the right is MagneCharge components that mate with my charger. I need these in order to utilize the charger. Unless, I can identify what charger mates with the components on the left.
